Still Here

Well, I'm almost done with my 3rd full week of caring for Tessa on my own during the day. It has gone very well and we're beginning to get more in a routine each day. I will say it is so nerve-wrecking to go out with her! You never know what a baby is going to do while you're out and about. Oh no! What if she cries? Will people think I'm not a good mom? I need to get over it, I know.

It's been pretty cold here in Nashville, but I'm wearing short sleeve shirts. Know why? Because I sweat all the time! When we go out and I have to lug all the baby stuff around I get so worked up and hot! No jacket for me...it's not necessary when you're dripping with perspiration.

Below is a picture of Tessa in her swing taken about a week ago. She is has become much more fond of her swing over the past month. No more crying when she gets in it. She is getting so much bigger already. My favorite part so far? Getting to know my daughter...her likes and dislikes. I love looking into her sparkling eyes so full of life! Still waiting for her 1st real smile (not due to gas). I've heard and read it should be around week 6 which is coming up this weekend. 6 weeks old? Can you believe it!

She is so adorable. I could totally see you walking around Target with a buggy full of stuff and Tessa starts to cry and you run out the door. Leaving your buggy in the middle of the aisle. ha ha! I would totally do the same thing. I don't see how you moms do it. I'm so happy for you. she is getting so big.
